Tanzanite Brooch

The simple shape of this handmade 18kt white and yellow gold brooch is off set by two 1.6mm diamonds sparkling in the side of the piece. The brushed finished on the outside of the piece contrasts with the high polish on the inside, making it shimmer as you move. Pair with a crisp white shirt or black turtleneck for maximum effect. Handmade 18kt yellow gold brooch set with a concave cut 3.47ct lemon quartz. The main body of the brooch is made from triangular shaped wire adding to the clean lines of not just the cut of the stone, but also the setting. When viewed from the back you'll notice a little extra detail: 2 x 1.3mm diamonds are set into the brooch mechanism. This piece was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and his theory of a correspondence between shape and colour which he developed during the early Bauhaus years.
